The inactivated vaccine contains dead virus and is safer to give the babies than the active vaccine.
• Babies should also take the vaccination for typhoid too. Babies should take the shot when they are younger than 2 years old. This is an inactive vaccine so it is safe for babies who are not allergic to it. Only one dose is needed, once given to the baby it provides protection.
• When the baby is still a month old, the doctors should give them the triple vaccination that is required for him when he grows up. The three include vaccinations against mumps, measles and rubella so these are given in three different doses. Since all of these sicknesses can be transferred from one person to another, it is best if the baby took the vaccination. So, if you want to have your baby safe from certain sicknesses, you should let the baby take the vaccination as soon as possible; preferably when he or she still one month old.
